Fall Camping Up, What's Next?
Time to get out and experience camping in the fall. Whether you're taking a road trip or just a weekend stay, visit a local campsite! Pack up the tents and sleeping bags, the RV, or your SUV and enjoy nature with apologies. Nights will be cooler than summer so be sure to bring extra layers. There are usually local events or fall festivals so check the local news for goings on. Now's the time to visit these states for the best fall foliage getaway:
New England - New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, and Connecticut; late September thru early October
South - Tennessee - Great Smokey Mountains mid; Georgia Mountains, Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Alabama, and Mississippi; scenic drives mid October thru November
Midwest - Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Michigan; October best month
Pacific Northwest - Oregon and Washington; mid to late October
California Eastern Sierra - Yosemite, Mammoth Lakes and Inyo National Forest
